Revised bus timings from Rasipuram bus stand take effect on Monday

Revised timings for town and mofussil buses operating from the Rasipuram bus stand will come into force from Monday, transport depot staff said on Sunday. The changes follow requests from students, office-goers and shandy traders for earlier and later services. A new early-morning service to Namakkal will leave at 5:10 am, and the last bus to Salem has been extended from 10:00 pm to 10:40 pm. Two additional trips to Attur have been added at 7:20 am and 5:45 pm on school days. Town buses to Pudupatti and Vennandur will now run every 25 minutes during the morning and evening peak instead of every 40 minutes. The midday gap between 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm on the Namakkal route has been closed with an extra trip at 1:45 pm. The full revised timetable is displayed at the enquiry counter in the bus stand. Passengers are requested to check the new timings before travelling during the first week.
