Town library plans book exhibition and free membership drive for National Library Week

The Rasipuram public library will mark National Library Week, observed every year from November 14 to 20, with a week of activities for readers of all ages. A book exhibition featuring Tamil literature, children's books and competitive-exam guides will be open daily from 9 am to 7 pm. During the week, membership will be free for students up to Class 12, and new members can borrow two books at a time from day one. Librarians will also help readers register for the library's digital catalogue. A storytelling hour for children aged 6 to 12 will be held every evening at 5 pm, and a quiz on Tamil literature is planned for school students on the closing day. The library's study corner for competitive exams, stocked with daily newspapers and previous years' question papers, will remain open on Sundays during the week.
