Water supply to Wards 1–14 on alternate days until Thursday due to main pipeline repair

Rasipuram Municipality has announced that drinking water will be supplied on alternate days to Wards 1 to 14 until Thursday, as a leak in the main feeder pipeline near the Salem Road junction is being repaired. Wards 15 to 27 are not affected by this repair; residents of Wards 20 to 24 should note that the separate pipeline repair near Attur Road, announced earlier, is expected to be completed within two days. The repair work began this morning and involves replacing a damaged section of the main pipe. Officials said supply will be fully restored by Friday morning if the work is completed as planned. Water tankers will be sent to streets on higher ground and to areas where supply is usually low. Residents may request a tanker by calling the municipal water complaint line at 04287-220220. Residents are requested to store water carefully, avoid fixing motors directly on the supply line and report any leaks they notice on the street.
