A traditional Siva temple in the old town of Rasipuram, with a five-tier gopuram on a granite base, a pillared stone mandapam and shrines for Ambal, Vinayagar and Murugan. Pradosham evenings and the monthly Sivaratri draw many local devotees, and Maha Sivaratri and Karthigai Deepam are the main festivals. Darshan 6:00 am to 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Please dress modestly and leave footwear at the counter near the entrance.
